Albany Middle School is a school community dedicated to learning. The mission of providing a rich and rigorous standards-based curriculum is guided by our vision statement: In a safe, engaging environment, each member of the AMS community strives toward excellence, acceptance of differences, exploration of ideas, and responsibility to a larger world. At AMS everybody teaches; everybody learns.

The current campus for Albany Middle School was completed 14 years ago. It was originally built for approximately 700 students, though now it houses 900 annually. There are 22 general education classrooms, three science laboratories, one computer laboratory, one art classroom, and one music room. AMS has a variety of multi-purpose space for students to explore their interests including a library, an indoor atrium, an outdoor covered lunch patio, and a full-size gym for athletic events and school dances.
